Is it illegal to play an instrument on the street for money? If so, what is it called?
I've seen people do it on TV - play music or do magic tricks for money in a park or on a street in large cities, and people put money in a hat the performer has placed on the ground. What is the term for that, and where in the world is it allowed or not allowed?
Depends on the street, the instrument, time of day...I've heard it's always illegal to play skin flute in public...but Republican politicians keep trying it!
