Is it illegal to sell something that you know that makes money?
I have bought magic training DVDs, and have either lost them or have sold them or i was taught them. If I wanted to sell my knowledge of these tricks on craigslist, would that be illegal? I was thinking of selling them by trick, or by time (like i could sell just one trick that i know, or train someone for an hour that has multiple tricks). Would it be illegal to do something like that?
No, it wouldn't be illegal. You're not 'selling' you're entering into a service contract. Don't expect anybody to pay - I can get magic instruction videos for free on Youtube.
