How do you study for a test?
It's for English 10 ad I have to learn and remember all these short story terms.. So how can I study without any help from somone else.. And those flash card tricks and stucff like that don't work for me. I have tried.

Don't cram. Study like 10 minute at a time, then take a break. Then come back and study for another 10 minutes. You'll find you start retaining more and more - repetition is key, but not to the point of exhaustion. Some of the least effective studying is when you're tired or frustrated.
Don't expect to suddenly learn everything all at once - most people can't, so studying effectively becomes a talent you learn.
You just need to find a system that works best for you. Then, getting A's is just a matter of putting time towards it.
